By applying the method of reusable heat, your computer can heat up your shower. It’s unbelievable that data centres with thousands of servers can produce a lot of heat everyday. To counter this problem, some countries have moved to the arctic or submerge their servers in the water.
However, a clever Dutch Company ‘Nerdalize’ is harnessing that heat to heat up showers.
Every year, customers pay for a server to be installed in their home, but pay no monthly charges for the heat.
The company Nerdalize then sells the server space to companies.
In addition, it could save customers more than $300 a year and companies up to 50% of their data costs when the heat is in the ON mode.
