This floating dorm is made from shipping containers constructed specially for students located in Copenhagen, Denmark. The Urban Rigger is a floating student housing vessel. It has 12 apartments and lots of perks. See the concept photos below by Urban Rigger.

We offer free food in the Urban Rigger (Kim Loudrup is the founder). Every student gets a fishing rod, they can throw out the window and pull in a halibut.

Each unit has its own kitchen and bathroom, floors are heated and cooled by solar energy. Copenhagen’s average apartment costs around half a million dollars. Whereas the Urban Rigger is $600 per month to rent. The city also has a large student housing deficit. YOu are living out by the clean water where the air is clean and also you will be away from distractions and sounds of the city to be able to concentrate on your work. Urban Rigger’s student wait list is in the thousands.

The company has plans to expand to other countries. So, uni students ‘seas’ the day. It’s really a great development project to continue.
