Such wind turbines have been designed to appear like trees. The aptly named’ wind trees’ are built from new wind of the earth.

Each wind tree is comprised of three steel trunks, branches, and 36 leaf-shaped wind turbines.

The amount of energy that they produce equals more than 1,900 pounds of coal per year.
