Imagine coming to work and seeing this waterfall. It’s actually a screen in the lobby of the Salesforce Headquater, located in San Francisco. The screen is custom built with over 7 million pixels. Besides, it’s also synced to local weather. So, when it snows in the mountains of California, it also snows on the screen. I am sure you won’t mind having one of these in your office.
Previously the screen in this huge Salesforce lobby usually displays a Redwood forest grove, but it’s my favorite when it’s changed to the waterfall setting.
These computer-generated waterfall was created by a visual effects studio known as Fusion CI Studios. The design & installation were done by Obscura Digital while the huge LED screens were installed by Sansi (SNA).
Here we have found a little light reading [PDF] from www.fusioncis.com for all you geeks out there who would like to know how it was done.
