Blackberry was designed and developed by a Canada based company called Research In Motion (RIM) in 1996. The device is known as Blackberry because its black button keys on the black color phone looks like Blackberry fruit seed.
There have already been more than 10 different commercial models of Blackberry introduced since year the first model released in year 1999.
Until today, there are more than 40 million units of Blackberry sold.
In August 2010, Blackberry 9800 was released with the feature of 3.2 in touchscreen display, 5.0 Mega Pixels camera, GPS capability, Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity. Blackberrys are known primarily for having more messaging features than most smart phones. Its Internet service is available in more than 90 countires on over 500 mobile service operators allows users to display email in real time.
Although, Blackberry’s recent challengers like iPhone have taken their toll. So, will Blackberry be overtaken by iPhone in future?
