A sudden 8.9-magnitude earthquake struck the northeast part of Japan on 11 March 2011, Friday. At the same time, tsunami as high as 10 meter also struck along parts of the country’s coastline causing deaths, fires, and massive damage to the public. This is one of the largest earthquakes in the history of Japan and also the fifth in the world. According to CNN, when the tsunami followed, the U.S. National Weather Service issued a warning for at least 50 countries and its territories that could be in threat.
However, Japan has stronger buildings that can stand against the quake, so a lot of japan survived this time if compared to the past.
Let’s have a look on some live raw scenes captured on film and raw pictures taken on the spot by the reporters and publics at the moment when the disease struck Japan.
