During day time, when the interiors of a house is so dark and also with no electricity. However, all this start with bottle daylights. Used plastic bottles are filled with water and bleach. They are then fixed to roofs reflecting light in daytime. This free energy Lighting system was developed by Liter of Light to help poor communities assemble their own lights.
So, how about night time? The second step is to build solar night lights. A micro solar panel is added in the plastic bottle. All the parts used are locally available to the community.

Liter of Light has lit over 850,000 homes so far. They aim to reach 1 million in the coming years. The project started in the Philippines in 2012. It has now spread to over 15 countries.
