This is an aquarium linked with the ocean. It is called The Monterey Bay Aquarium which operates by pumping in fresh seawater from Pacific Ocean.
There is a very good reason why the aquarium prides itself on its diverse array of species. They’ve got rays, glowing jelly fish, octopuses, and sea otters to name a few.
But this diversity won’t be possible without a pump system. They pump in 2,000 Gallons of seawater per minute. A surge machine creates constant motion that many species need to survive.
