The Apple’s new iPhone 5 with A6 chip was finally launched on 12 September, 2012. It comes in two new colors which are Black & Slate and White & Silver.

The weight of iPhone 5 is much lighter (3.95 ounces or 112 grams) when compared to iPhone 4S which is (4.9 ounces or 140 grams). The dimensions of iPhone 5 are as follow, with a little bit extra height, same width and less depth than its previous 4S version. Height x Width x Depth: (4.87 inches or 123.8 mm) x Width: (2.31 inches or 58.6 mm) x Depth: (0.30 inch or 7.6 mm).

iPhone 5 supports Nano-SIM but is not compatible with the existing micro-SIM cards. The connector for iPhone 5 is no longer the 30-pin, however replaced with the lightning connector.
Regarding the display, iPhone 5 has 4-inch (diagonal) retina display with 1136-by-640 resolution. The FaceTime camera allows users to take 1.2MP photos, record 720p HD video, together it comes with Backside illumination sensor. The 1080p HD video recording has improved video stabilization so that you can take still photos while recording video. One more great feature is the face detection while snapping your photo of your friends.
Improved battery life to let you enjoy longer browsing time up to 8 hours on LTE & 3G and 10 hours on Wi-Fi, with standby time up to 225 hours.
