Why should you avoid hand dryers in the toilet?
Public restrooms can be dirty. Studies show hand dryers could be spreading germs easily.
One study compared germs spread by Dyson Airblade, Regular Hand dryer and paper towels.
Participants wore gloves coated in a harmless virus. When they put them under a Dyson Airblade, the blast of air flung the most germs. The regular hand dryer also flung germs as far as 10 feet away. However, paper towels didn’t circulate any germs. It’s not just your germs that are flying around.
Keep in mind that participants’ hand were already covered in germs for the study. If you wash your hand after using the restroom, then there should be many minimal risk of spreading germs no matter how you dry your hands.
