While I enjoyed reading the above, I must admit that you have forgotten to include people who might be hearing impaired. As the internet has a vast array of podcasts, audio and anything that pertains to listening, it is a huge disadvantage to those people who cannot hear and really struggle to know what is being said and so therefore hearing impaired persons would rather spend the time to read text. Maybe it would also be beneficial if you had included speech to text capabilities.
